Step 1 :Pre-Poo
Pre-poo hair with oil mix before you shampoo to help protect your hair strands. Coconut oil is one of the oils I use in my pre-poo mix because it can penetrate the hair strands to strengthens and prevent Hydra fatigue ( the hair strands swell from the uptake of water, and it becomes weak). When pre-pooing your hair make sure it is dry because water repels oil. I start by sectioning my hair in four to six sections and work from front to back applying oil at the roots to the strands. I twist my hair in two strands twist all over and cover my hair with a plastic cap.

Step 2: CleansingNow Cleansing is the most important part of my hair care regimen. To grow strong, healthy hair, you need a clean environment, i.e., a clean scalp. I workout at least three days a week and commute to work so my hair gets sweaty. I use a few different cleansing method depends on how my hair is holding up. For Co-washing, I use my Garnier Damage Eraser Conditioner co-wash mix. Now to make sure I have a clean scalp I also shampoo my hair twice a month. I love using my Shea Moisture JBCO mix to help clean and moisturize my hair. When I do not have to deal with to much dirt and grime but still want a deep clean I will use my Aztec Secret, Indian Healing Clay DIY to cleanse my scalp and hair.

One of the best ways to keep your scalp healthy is to make a natural black soap shampoo to cleanse and heal the roots. My DIY Black soap shampoo does just that for my scalp.

How To Clay Mask Natural Hair To Revitalize & Moisturize
Deep-Condition (or A Treatment and than Deep Condition)
Now deep conditioning is necessary to my dry hair to put in lost moisture and add strength. After every wash, I apply a deep conditioner (whichever is appropriate for the weather) and leave it in for at least 30 minutes. I deep condition my hair using store bought and DIY mix conditioners at home. I use Coconut Shea Hair Masque EDEN BodyWorks, Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner, SheaMoisture Intense Moisture Masque Treatment. I love all three deep treatments, and they all work to repair and replenish my hair. I now use my Hair Steamer every time I deep condition, I purchase my steamer on Amazon for about $60, and It was worth the investment. You need moisture and protein to grow strong, healthy hair. Every four weeks I use a DIY protein treatment to help strengthen my hair. My go to favorite treatment is my Henna Gloss treatment, it adds strength to my strands and helps retain length.

Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
I started Using Apple Cider Vinegar to rinse on my hair after I deep condition to restore the natural pH balance of my hair. I add 1 part apple cider vinegar and 2 part water in a cup or bowl then pour the mix over my hair and massage it in for 2 minutes. I leave the mix on my hair for 10 minutes then rinse it out with cold water to seal my cuticles back down.

A Tea Rinse For Growth And Length Retention
My favorite part of my wash day routine is rinsing my hair with a tea rinse. I will brew a big batch of tea just before I start my wash day routine to allow it to cool down while I wash my hair. I use Green and Black tea to strengthen and protects my hair after long hours under products and water. Doing a tea rinse helps to nourish the strands and you are left with soft manageable nails.

Moisturizing and Sealant
After washing my hair, I use my microfiber towel to dry my hair about 80% dry and go in and apply a leave-in conditioner and my scalp oil. Now that my hair is hydrated and has some slip I can finger detangle and put it in a twist to finish drying out. I always make sure that I seal all of that in with my Shea butter sealant butter to keep the moisture inside the strands.
That's It! My Full Routine!
My regular wash day takes just a few hours depending on the deep conditioner I am using.
