Step 1 :Pre-Poo
Pre-poo hair with oil mix before you shampoo to help protect your hair strands. Coconut oil is one of the oils I use in my pre-poo mix because it can penetrate the hair strands to strengthens and prevent Hydra fatigue ( the hair strands swell from the uptake of water, and it becomes weak). When pre-pooing your hair make sure it is dry because water repels oil. I start by sectioning my hair in four to six sections and work from front to back applying oil at the roots to the strands. I twist my hair in two strands twist all over and cover my hair with a plastic cap.

Step 2: CleansingNow Cleansing is the most important part of my hair care regimen. To grow strong, healthy hair, you need a clean environment, i.e., a clean scalp. I workout at least three days a week and commute to work so my hair gets sweaty. I use a few different cleansing method depends on how my hair is holding up. For Co-washing, I use my Garnier Damage Eraser Conditioner co-wash mix. Now to make sure I have a clean scalp I also shampoo my hair twice a month. I love using my Shea Moisture JBCO mix to help clean and moisturize my hair. When I do not have to deal with to much dirt and grime but still want a deep clean I will use my Aztec Secret, Indian Healing Clay DIY to cleanse my scalp and hair.
One of the best ways to keep your scalp healthy is to make a natural black soap shampoo to cleanse and heal the roots. My DIY Black soap shampoo does just that for my scalp.

Deep-Condition (or A Treatment and than Deep Condition)
Now deep conditioning is necessary to my dry hair to put in lost moisture and add strength. After every wash, I apply a deep conditioner (whichever is appropriate for the weather) and leave it in for at least 30 minutes. I deep condition my hair using store bought and DIY mix conditioners at home. I use Coconut Shea Hair Masque EDEN BodyWorks, Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner, SheaMoisture Intense Moisture Masque Treatment. I love all three deep treatments, and they all work to repair and replenish my hair. I now use my Hair Steamer every time I deep condition, I purchase my steamer on Amazon for about $60, and It was worth the investment. You need moisture and protein to grow strong, healthy hair. Every four weeks I use a DIY protein treatment to help strengthen my hair. My go to favorite treatment is my Henna Gloss treatment, it adds strength to my strands and helps retain length.
